The Snow Queen (2012 Film)
1. Introduction: Do you see those motion graphic videos on Instagram and YouTube? And you go like, how do they do it? I was just like Q. I've tried so many tutorials, but once I see the complex interfaces and the processes, I just get so overwhelmed until one day I saw my mentor play a stunning presentation. So I asked myself, what if there is a simple and easy way to create such advanced animation? What if I don't have to spend so much time and money to learn such advanced applications. This is when I realized that secret animations that take agencies days to do. I finished in only a couple of hours free of charge and believe me with ten times less the effort. The good thing about this course is that it's quick and does not require any design experience. What can you do with keynote? Believe me, the list is unlimited. I want you to be able to create your own Instagram animation, Your Own Story size promo, or even a lower third animation for your YouTube video. Once you've learned the techniques that I'm gonna show you in this course, you'll be able to create whatever you put your mind into. I made sure that this project that we'll be working on together has most of these techniques. So I'll give you the sense of achievement. A dog lovers needs someone to mind is why he is on. And the back camera, navy core. In hiring the Irish community. The animation might seem a little overwhelming, so let's break it down for you. Our video consists of four different scenes. We'll do 123, draw, animate, and then add audio for the draw part will draw C1, C2, C3, and four together. Then we'll animate seeing one will animate s2, s3, and for, and for the final touches and adding audio will use Apple Motion. 2. What can you do with Keynote: What can you do with keynote? I made sure that this project that we'll be working on together has most of these techniques. So I'll give you the sense of achievement. This is why I am using the newest version of keynote to utilize the latest improvements that were not available before previously. If I wanted to animate a line from start to wind, this is the closest I can get to. Doesn't look good. Now with the latest improvement, I can animate the line perfectly from start to end. Another improvement was to animate an object along a path. But you see how in this example the car looks funny. Now in the latest version, you can align the car with the path as it moves along. Keynote also introduced a very important feature that I've been personally looking forward to have for a very, very long time, and it has to have a video continuously playing across multiple slides. You see how this video of the hearts are continuously playing, Even when I move between slides. 3. Requirements: There are requirements, only three things. One, any kind of Mac OS device, iMac, Macbook Pro, MacBook Air, or even Mac Mini too, for animation, we'll be using Apple keynote, which comes bundled for free with your Mac device. Three for the final edits and adding audio will be using Apple Motion, which is also available in the app store. The reason why I'm not using iMovie is because unfortunately, up till now, it does not support custom size videos like Square and vertical videos that you see on Instagram. You'll find all the download links in the description along with the practice files. 4. Interface: Once you launch keynote, you'll be able to choose between a variety of preset templates. Your screen might look white and it's okay. It's just that my Mac has embarked mode, so no worries. I always choose the basic white template for videos. So let's go ahead and click it. There we go. Keynotes interface is quite simple. The top part has the toolbar. On the left, we have the slide thumbnails, just like the one you see in PowerPoint. Next to its, you'll see the object list, which is basically the list of all the layers we have in this light, in the center, we have this light or the document that we're working on. And on the right side, we have the most important part, which is the format and animate panels. So let's do a little sweeping first, I'll go ahead and customize the toolbar. So we only have what we need, please right-click on this part, choose customize toolbar before we select our tools, let's remove everything by dragging each tool anywhere outside. Now, we won't be using all of these. So I want you to take your time to arrange these tools to look like the screen you see now. I'll give you some time to do this. Very good. This is to play the slideshow or to preview your animation. This is to add text, change the font, make it bigger or smaller. Insert a shape, flip anything horizontally or vertically, and change the color Copia style from an object, paste it to another instant alpha. And this is to remove colors or backgrounds from an image adjustment. And this is to change an image properties like brightness and saturation, et cetera. Now this panel consists of three sections, format, animate, and document. Let's start with document. Before we start, please go to view and click on show object list. The only thing that we will do here is changing the size of a document by selecting custom and changing the size to 1080 by 1080, which is the size of the Instagram square video. As mentioned before, the object panel allows you to select and reorder objects that in your slide, let's drag this square down. You see how the circle is now on top of the square. This is basically how it works. Now if you look at the top left corner, we can add a new slide from here, as well as zooming in and zooming out. We were done with document C. It just took us less than a minute. This is what I love about keynotes. It's very simple and easy to use. Now let's move to format. The format panel changes depending on what you have selected. B at the document itself, an image, a video, shape, or a text. If you have nothing selected, this is the panel you'll get to format this light itself. A lot of times you'll see me taking some clutter away and this is just because I don't want to overwhelm you with features that we won't be really using. So in the Document Format panel, we can change the background color to solid color, linear gradient, or even radio gradient. Now if you have an image or a video selected, the panel will change to help you apply borderline shadow, reflection, or even changed the opacity. And if you select a shape, you'll get the same panel in addition to
